Clarion are the largest housing association locally. They are responsible for a huge volume of our housing stock and the level of service they provide to my constituents is often not acceptable. My office and I spend a huge amount of time working on constituents’ housing cases and the majority of this is spent with Clarion. I regularly contact and meet with Clarion and other local housing associations to raise constituents’ concerns and I will continue to advocate for constituents. However, Merton Council must require better for their residents. Local authority tenants deserve more from their Council and their Housing Association and I will work to find a solution to individual cases and to the wider situation.
