On Tuesday 13th March I voted against the House of Lords’ amendments to the European Union (Notification of Withdrawal) Bill. I did this for the same reason I decided to reject similar amendments in the House of Commons.
The Government has announced that Southern rail passengers are to be repaid the equivalent of a month's travel for the extrordinary disruption they have suffered. This is something I discussed with the Minister when I met him last week.
In September the Boundary Commission released their initial proposals for the new constituency boundaries. Their goal is to reduce the number of MPs by 50, and make the number of people living in each constituency more equal.
In my adjournment debate last year about summerborn schools admissions, the Minister raised potential costs as a reason why parents have not yet been given a right to defer their summerborn child’s start to school.
