Balfour and Cecil Roads Update

In October last year I wrote to all residents in Balfour and Cecil Roads about traffic problems and Merton Council's plan to consult on banning a left turn from Balfour Road into Merton Road.

Cannon Hill Cycle Marking Event

Cannon Hill Safer Neighbourhood Team will be holding a cycle marking event on Saturday 28th January 2017 between 11am and 1pm at the Morden Park Depot Car Park off Hillcros Avenue opposite Monkleigh Road.

Wimbledon with UK's highest rate of entry to higher education by 18 year olds

Today UCAS have published their End of Cycle 2016 report, which confirms that the Wimbledon constituency has the highest rate of entry to higher education by 18 year olds, at 63%. The average figure of entry rate for 18 year olds to higher education in the UK in 2016 is 31.9 per cent.

November Unemployment Data

The November unemployment rate in Wimbledon, Raynes Park, Motspur Park & Morden is 609 (1.1%). This is down 48 since Nov 2015, and down 405 (40%) since November 2010. 

Parliamentary Scrutiny of Brexit

I am very pleased to see that the Government has agreed  to publish their plan for leaving the EU before Article 50 is triggered.

December Summerborn Update
