Supporting Small Businesses

Update - Tuesday 22nd October

This evening I voted for the second reading of the Withdrawal Bill and for the programme motion. I did this to fulfil my promise to stop No Deal, to see if this deal has support in the House of Commons and to allow amendments to be debated.

Over the last few years I have been alarmed by the state of discourse and inflammatory language being used in British politics.

Supreme Court Ruling

When the Prime Minister announced his intention to prorogue Parliament, I said it was wrong and undemocratic. Parliament must be able to hold the Government to account at a time of national crisis.

The Supreme Court has today ruled that prorogation was unlawful, for these reasons.
