Visit to Merton Dementia Hub

Last week I visited the Merton Dementia Hub. The Hub is a centre for dementia sufferers and carers to meet others. They also hold a number of educational and club type sessions. There is also a treatment room for the use of doctors, dentists and chiropodists etc.  We are lucky that in this Borough we have the first such facility.

Community Update

Together with the local residents association, I organised a public meeting last October to explore ways of stopping the closure of the much needed Vineyard Hill Surgery. 

Clear up Day - South Wimbledon

Love your local area! Come join your neighbours and me, as we help clean up South Wimbledon as part of Community Clear Up Day 2015. We need volunteers to help us collect litter and rubbish across South Wimbledon.

On Tuesday 17 March, I pledged to make this election memorable by taking action to support the 850,000 people living with dementia across the UK.

Vineyard Hill Surgery - Will Stay Open

Patients at Vineyard Hill Surgery in Wimbledon will be able to continue to receive primary care services at the surgery thanks to a new GP partnership.

Crossrail 2 Meeting

Last Thursday, I organised a meeting for local residents with TfL and Network Rail to discuss the safeguarding proposals for Crossrail 2. The meeting was incredibly popular and I am sorry if you were unable to make it inside the hall. Unfortunately, with short notice given by TFL, we were unable to secure a venue with larger capacity.
