Raynes Park and Motspur Park Station

I was very disappointed to learn that Raynes Park and Motspur Park stations were not chosen to receive accessibility funding from the Department for Transport.

Heathrow Expansion Consultation - Closes March 4th

Following my public meeting with representatives from Heathrow Airport earlier in the month, many residents have been writing to me to express their concerns over how proposed flight paths would impact Wimbledon.

Community Clean Up - Saturday 2nd March

I’ve been working with the Neat Streets team in Wimbledon, who are a group of residents wishing to do their bit to keep our area clean.

They have arranged a community clean up session on Saturday 2nd March, starting at 10.30am from outside the YMCA, Wimbledon Broadway, SW19 1RY.

Motspur Park Station Waiting Room

The waiting room at Motspur Park station has been closed for far too long and I have raised this with South Western Railway and Network Rail.

Network Rail agreed, and undertook the necessary work to reopen the waiting room.

Sutton Link Consultation

Transport for London are consulting on options for a new transport link between Merton and Sutton, called the Sutton Link. There are three proposed route options:


Route Option 1 - South Wimbledon to Sutton town centre

Route Option 2 - Colliers Wood to Sutton town centre

Today's railway cancellations

The loss of train service this morning affecting Motspur Park, Raynes Park and Wimbledon is outrageous.

I  asked for an immediate explanation and received the below response from the managing director of Network Rail’s Wessex route and the managing director of South Western Railway.

Motspur Park Station - Waiting Room

Update 16th November 2018

Network Rail conducted an asbestos survey and unfortunately asbestos containing material was found in the roof space. This needs to be removed before the repairs are carried out.

Work is being arranged to remove this material and fix the ceiling.

Gas Works Update: Grand Drive, Raynes Park

I have received the below update from SGN regarding their gas works on Grand Drive.


Our project is progressing well and we've re-laid over 1200m of pipe and replaced more than 70 gas services connecting Grand Drive properties to the main to date.
