Worple Road Closure

It is unacceptable that Worple Road could be closed until 9th September. 

This has been going on for too long. It was able to open for Ride London, yet will remain closed for a significant period disrupting the lives of Wimbledon residents. 

Heathrow Expansion Public Meeting - Friday 6th September

The consultation on the Heathrow Airport Expansion and a new third runway is now underway. Under the proposals residents here in Wimbledon will be impacted by more noise and more air pollution from more flights.

Prorogation of Parliament

One of the arguments from Brexit supporters was that it would return sovereignty to the UK and to our Parliament. Whatever your view on Brexit is, whether you want no deal, another referendum or a deal, this is a decision that must be taken by our sovereign Parliament.

Heathrow Airport Consultation - June 2019

Earlier in the year, I promised to keep residents up to date about future consultations relating to Heathrow Airport and made clear my opposition to any plans that will see more noisy flights over Wimbledon.

Save Wimbledon Police Station

Ever since the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan made his decision to close Wimbledon Police Station, Conservative councillors and I, alongside the community, have been fighting this decision. The plan was to move all policing, including emergency response units, to Mitcham Police Station.

Parking Permit Fees

Labour-run Merton Council want to hike fees for parking permits across Merton. In most of Wimbledon and Raynes Park this means that the price you pay will DOUBLE!

Raynes Park and Motspur Park Station

I was very disappointed to learn that Raynes Park and Motspur Park stations were not chosen to receive accessibility funding from the Department for Transport.
