Upcoming Public Meetings

Along with local Conservative Councillors, I am holding three public meetings in the coming weeks to discuss a variety of local issues.

Details of the meetings are as follows:

Save Wimbledon Police Station

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has just launched a consultation on closing half of all police front counters in London.

As part of this, he wants to close Wimbledon Police Station and sell the land. Response policing will then probably be based from Mitcham.

St Helier Hospital Plans for the Future

The Chief Executive and his team at Epsom and St Helier NHS Trust are putting together a plan to secure between £300 and £400 million of investment for health services in the area.

Crossrail 2 Questions

In March, at the request of the Government, TfL submitted an updated business case and funding plan for Crossrail 2 to the Department for Transport.

Grenfell Tower Fire

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who lives in Grenfell Tower and are suffering because of the awful fire. We owe a huge thanks to the emergency services for their quick and brave response.

Agreement with the DUP

I support the limited agreement which has been reached, as it will allow the Government to function in light of the results of the General Election.

A look at these results and numbers of MPs from each Party in the House of Commons shows why this deal was necessary.

More funding for A&E at St Helier Hospital

Last week the Secretary of State for Health announced a second wave of funding to ease pressure on hospital emergency departments ahead of next winter.
