Plans for ID to be shown in order to vote in a polling station have been proposed because the independent Electoral Commission advocated voter ID requirements in 2014, following a review into voter fraud and the potential for voter fraud.

However, as I said last month, those in buildings under 18m in height need and deserve more clarity and reassurances. 

Sarah Everard

Like many I have been distressed and saddened by the murder of Sarah Everard. 

This was a horrific crime and a personal tragedy causing immeasurable grief to Sarah’s family and friends. My thoughts and prayers go out to them all.
