I would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody who voted for me in the General Election. I have always regarded being trusted to represent my community as the greatest honour and I will continue to do everything I can to repay the faith put in me.

Wimbledon is the best constituency in the country and it has been a privilege to serve as your MP for the last 12 years. During that time, I have worked hard to make your voice heard in Westminster and stand up for residents on important local issues, including on:

Summerborn and Premature Children

Over the last two years in Parliament I have been campaigning for summerborn and premature children to be able to start Reception class aged 5, if their parents think it is appropriate. Some local authorities give parents this right already.

Why I am voting 'Remain'

I initially published my views on the EU referendum in February, following the Prime Minister’s renegotiation. I have received a lot of correspondence from constituents since then, so I am happy to reiterate my reasons for supporting remaining a Member of the European Union.
